Stone Details
Gemstone type: sapphire
Carat weight: 1.9 ct
Price per carat: about $263
(While the color and clarity of this gem are both stunning, the price has been discounted due to a few micro scratches on the table that aren’t really visible to the naked eye and poor light performance due to the nature of tablet cuts and dark material.)

Hardness: 9
Origin: Australia (purchased directly from a local miner in Australia)
Treatment: none
Color: The color is a beautiful dark teal. While it doesn’t have much brilliance due to being a tablet cut, it shows some incredible striped color zoning in the right lighting!
Inclusions: This gem contains a few small internal fractures that won’t detract at all from the overall stability of the gem. The only other flaws are the small scuffs left on the table from polishing.
